Sheyla Paz Hicks was born and raised in Cuba, and has been in USA since 2000. She is a self-taught TV Producer, TV host, actress, model, dancer, singer, writer, editor, entertainer and entrepreneur.

Sheyla was born in a small town in Cuba and was raised by her grandparents. At age 13, Sheyla moved to the city to continue middle school studies and and for better career opportunities. After turning 18 she graduated from Frank Pais Garcia technical school, with the title of Music Educator for Kindergarten and worked as a children’s music teacher for 3 years. In order to learn more about music and become a performer, Sheyla then moved to Havana City where she worked as a band’s Manager and Producer and was responsible for booking the band locally, nationally and internationally, as well as being responsible for the band’s make up, wardrobe, instruments, dancers, musicians as well as payroll management. She also performed as a back up singer and Guiro player.

Sheyla came to the United States in December 2000 after dating the man who would become her husband for two years. She studied piano and took voice lessons, and started writing and producing her own songs. After a couple of years working as a model and actress, Sheyla’s husband suggested that she should have her own TV show. So she started producing the SPANISH-TV show which was on air for about a year and a half on Public Access Television in Nashville, until the show was accepted to be aired on the TELEMUNDO Nashville network. Mrs. Hicks was the Executive Producer and host of the show until it ended in December of 2010.

More recently, Sheyla covered the Academy Awards “Oscars®” from the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, the Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville, and the CMA Music Festival.

Cameron Tilbury (Director/Owner of MapleStar Music & Media, Nashville TN)

Cameron Tilbury studied at McMaster University and Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada before starting his professional career at 820 CHAM; at the time, Canada’s number-1 country radio station. He worked there in a number of roles; operating top-40 countdown tapes, afternoon traffic reporter, all-night announcer, and promotions assistant. After a short time there, he then worked at KX96 FM, east of Toronto—first as announcer, then as copywriter/Creative Director. Eleven years later, he was lured to that station’s local competitor, Magic 94.9 FM, to be their head copywriter. It wasn’t long before he was lured to the Toronto market to join the copy-writing team at Corus Radio Toronto, a group of four radio stations. Cameron was then hired by Toronto competitors, Rogers Radio Toronto, another cluster of four radio stations. His copywriting won several local, national and international awards in Canada.

Tilbury relocated to England in late 2001, and worked as a Creative Director/copywriter/brand strategist at advertising agencies in Maidstone in Kent, Nottingham, and then Peterborough in Cambridgeshire before making the move to London to join the in-house creative team for Betfair, an international gaming company. It was after two years at Betfair that he founded Cameron Tilbury Publicity, which helped independent country music artists get airplay on radio stations in Ireland, UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

In 2011, Cameron Tilbury relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. He met and married songwriter Jo-Leah Gray, and evolved the company into MapleStar Music & Media, a full-service international publicity/management company. The company now handles singers/bands in country and rock, tv personalities/actors, and one of the world’s top rock photographers. MapleStar Music & Media also does artist management, artist development, producing, and much more. Clients are based in Canada, the USA and United Kingdom. The company’s main office is in Nashville, Tennessee, with offices opening in Canada and England soon.

As a board-certified Family Physician, Dr. Seretis is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Medical Society of New Jersey and the Gloucester County Medical Society.

Dr. Seretis served as a community outpatient preceptor at the Christiana Care Family Medicine Residency for the past 6 years, where he was awarded “Outstanding Preceptor” in 2004. His present teaching affiliations include: associate outpatient clinical professor, Thomas Jefferson University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Seretis lives and is active in his hometown community of Woolwich Township. His wife has a Masters degree in Physical Therapy and provides care for Gloucester County residents and they have three young children.

During our interview, Dr. Seretis took us from his early years, while working as a bus boy at local restaurants.  He was the first one in his family to ever go to college, and to top that off, he went on to graduate from medical school and ... well .. the rest is history.

His story was fascinating and enlightening beyond what I had expected. We discussed everything from his educational journey through high school to his years during his undergraduate studies at college, and then onto Medical School and beyond.  We talked about the cost of Medical School, the challenges of paying the loans off, starting his own practice (and what it takes to be not only be a doctor ... but the owner of your own business). Yes, he is a "business owner" as well as a doctor.
