Women In Governance & Technology Association Malaysia (WIGTA).

Assalaamu'alaikum and Greetings

Ramadan Kareem.

Tonight I feel bless, after few months in MCO, finally I managed to speak in public. It has been months we experience distress, depress and stress. However, time flies, we successfully reach this far, alhamdulillah and grateful we are.

Tonight I would like to introduce again about our association, WIGTA MALAYSIA.

I am Madam Tetty Henney Zulkifli, the President of Women in Governance and Technology Association of Malaysia or simply known as WIGTA.

WIGTA focus on women empowerment through governance and technology, WIGTA’s objectives among others:

1. To close the gender gap for professional women at

work

2. To ensure underprivileged women be properly educated

3. To assist and develop women to achieve greater heights

4. To be involved in charity works and activities regarding social responsibility

5. WIGTA shall ensure that no women will be left behind and to curb problems regarding social ills and gender discrimination among women. Our vision is to work together towards strengthening the Malaysian economy by the year 2020 and beyond.

6. Since its formation, we have received an amazing response from women of diverse backgrounds. We have also received tremendous support from corporations, GLCs, Institution of Higher Learning, Charity-based institutions, network of other women associations all over the world, United Nations and so much more.

7. We have also been appointed as SDG partners with various institutions to do our part to ensure sustainability.

8. This is because our policies regarding governance ensure that we are transparent and comply to all relevant codes of practice and the law.

9. WIGTA is supported and guided by panel of professionals and expert to ensure continual conformance to the regulations.

10. WIGTA has been involved in numerous functions, international conferences, courses with various themes such as women empowerment, sustainability development, women entrepreneurship, science and technology, engineering and charity.

I wish to invite all women from any backgrounds, race, religion, culture, country to join WIGTA. Contact me or any of our strong professional committee members.
