The term "ethos" as used in the album's title refers to the morals, values and beliefs of an individual or an entire culture. The album seeks to communicate my ethos to the listener through an exploration of my personal experiences. This time around, I chose to experiment with a completely different sound--American roots music. I wanted to show that "black music" includes traditional Americana music. Thematically, the album wrestles with self identity, culture, community, relationships, adversity and perseverance. The term "son of a sharecropper" as used in the album's title is a reference to my being a descendant of black American sharecroppers in Colerain, North Carolina.

'Thoughts Like Birds' is the new solo EP by Ryan McMurtry. The three soft and soothing folk tracks explore themes including separation, freedom and love inspired in part by the strange world we have all lived in over the past couple of years. Ryan's trademark silky vocals are joined by lush harmonies, guitar and sweeping cello to create dark landscapes that are full of heart. Also known as the frontman of Sugarmoon, Ryan makes a return to the studio as a solo songwriter for this release.

Terrys’ stories are presented as TerryK 3TL, a collaborative pool of very talented artists established in 2017, based in Niagara On The Lake Ontario and Bradenton, Florida. The group’s album Take A Little Ride achieved significant recognition, being nominated for multiple awards. A past nominee of the Niagara Music Awards 2019 Album of the Year for Take A Little Ride; his later works have been nominated internationally for music achievement and songwriting awards.

Asked many times what kinda songs do you write? What genre are they? Who’s your audience? I have one simple answer and let me be clear they’re SONGS FOR OLD MEN. Songs of my life, wisdom acquired by memories and a clear outlook that I ain’t dead yet so I keep bringin’ it.

This is the first single of the 3rd album of a trilogy. The title of the album may be Songs for Old Men. I hope you enjoy it and the songs to come. Bonus if the songs bring a smile or a tear or maybe you dance a step or two.

SOFT COUNTRY FOLK SOFT ROCK CANADA NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE ONTARIO

Newcastle, UK based musician Scott Hepple is set to release his debut single 'Letting Go' on January 6th 2023. Being accompanied by a super 8 montage/green screen style music video, the song is a fuzz-filled but heartfelt Laurel Canyon inspired tune, recorded analogue with Scott's live band at Duncan Lloyd's (Maximo Park) studio. "The song's main theme of reincarnation goes hand in hand with the production" Scott says. "I wanted to produce the overdriven raw analogue sound that was rife in the early 70s, which is where I take alot of my inspiration from".

Here in Australia, we were all in various states of Covid disruption and lockdown. The songs on this EP address the very personal issues that we were all forced to face during this time.” Javan Cole (Meadow Argus) With a sound inspired by a blend of Neu!, Kraftwerk, Eurythmics, Broadcast, The Church, Sonic Youth, and Johnny Cash, each of the seven tracks have been masterfully composed, recorded, mixed and produced within Jevan’s home studio, a converted earthy shed surrounded by the beauty of nature. Mastering was completed by Jevan Cole and Seamus Kirkpatrick.
