<description>So by embracing my bad hair days, I'm showing gratitude for being alive!
I'm not saying all things are fixable by having a good attitude or by embracing what's coming, but I do know it plays a huge part in your quality of life...even when it's threatened!

My husband expressed that he loves how I am embracing the changes I am facing...like losing  my hair. Well, when 4 doctors tell you this, it is a fact of life.  What should I do, stew and fret and be mad or make an appointment with the Wig Lady? Hey, my appointment is Tuesday and my daughter and I are going for 'gorgeous' don't you know!  I've always loved the highlighted look - so be watching :-)

I've also been forewarned I will be getting eye infections in my tear ducts and they will produce more tears.  Interesting, I have dry eye, maybe this is a good thing.  But because I wear contacts I guess it's the right time to get a new pair of glasses.  Mine are 20 years old and I rarely wore them before, but now with dry eyes being not so much fun I wear them at night watching TV.  And I just noticed this past Sunday, before hearing this news,  that my eyes see better without the glasses...hmmm.  So tonight hubby and I are gonna have fun picking out new glasses.

I could be steeped in anger and why me's right now, but it is me and what's coming is coming, so why fight it.  Find the fun in what you can and in 8 months it will all be behind me and people will still want to listen to me and follow me...cause maybe I've helped just one person through it.  Anger shuts people down and shuts them out...

Not me - I'm reaching out with open arms not just to embrace bad hair days, but you, for being with me during this journey!  Together, we can do soooo much more!

Passing on hugs and smiles,

<description>Blessings On A Monday is great information for you!  You'll have to listen!
Why do I say that?  Because a lot of people need a jump start on the first day of the week, whether your day starts on a Monday or a Friday! So my day started out so awesomely I just had to share!

First was a walk with my daughter and grand dog, outside on a gorgeous morning!  Then I grabbed a cup of coffee and got on my partner Cynthia Bazin's blab on FOCUS!!!  We had some crazy echoing issues, but what incredible fun!

Blab.im is the new platform for connecting and sharing and growing your business!  You just need a webcam, a twitter account and off you go.  It's free, it's fabulous, it's soooooo fun!

I will be switching my interview segments to Blab and maybe more, it will depend as things go along!

After I got off there I got onto another one without echoes, yes, must watch out you don't get addictive, just like any social media platforms.  This one I believe is way more addictive!!!!

And then I opened an email that brought tears to my eyes - you'll have to listen to hear that.  And then more about a special 'coloring' gift I received.

I have to confess as much as I love to write - I feel you'll get more from listening to me...

Here's a link you need after you listen:  http://GlobalPortal4Freedom.com

Then run on over and set up a quick Twitter  account and then go over to Blab.im and join in some fabulous fun!

So I'm passing on more than a smile today,  I am passing on my blessings and asking you to find some in your day to share with everyone.  Each day brings new challenges and hiccups we'd rather wish away, but if they can't be wished away, find something else to focus on that will bring more light into your life!

BIG Hugs and A BIG Thank you for being a blessing in my life,

<description>Changes are coming - big ones on the horizon!!!
One Awesome Community is just about ready to hit it's one year mark...moving from Gabbin' With Gail...grows your business, to The Gail Foley Show, a potpourri mix, and then this version which also is dedicated to women entrepreneurs and women business owners.  The previous two were open to men, too :-)  Which they still listen to and share with their wives, so I'm told.  And now next up is a face lift and some re-formatting for One Awesome Community!

So many changes coming that I believe and my partners (to be announced)  believe  is going to be even more powerful for you!  The words on my logo read...'energizing, educating and connecting women entrepreneurs!'  And from all your wonderful comments and awesome feedback, I hear I am hitting the mark for inspiring and making you laugh and smile...which is definitely going to stay in there, but let's add in more empowering education and trending topics!  Oops, there's a hint or two.

So let's kick it up a notch and change the format a tad, revise my programming, including this website, that will allow me to also blog, for those that like to read and share in that fashion.

I can hardly sit still long enough to type this I am sooooo excited...so instead, please just listen to this show to hear more!

I love you all for listening and commenting and keeping me in your prayers and your hearts!!!!

Passing On A Smile,

<description>Good question, huh?  So are you into meditation or not?
This whole podcast revolves around my recent re-discovering of this meditation tool/program.  I will tell you I believe so strongly in it that I am now an affiliate...so that means if you purchase the whole package, I make a small commission :-)  Regardless, you'll want to listen to my podcast and then share.

This is vitally important in maintaining your optimum health, which I intend to maintain, in spite of recent challenges!  Our mind chatter can cause us much more stress than the true reality of things...just because it can!

I've studied many programs. One was by, Blair Singer, a brilliant sales trainer who I actually was trained by  when I attended T. Harv Eker's Trainer the Trainer 5-day training.  Blair calls our mind chatter, little voices and has a tape series on how to rid ourselves of those little voices.  And then I've done Rapid Manifestation, I have done one called the Daisy Pond,  and Dr. Wayne Dyer's, Getting Into The Gap...

And now I'm returning to the easiest one - I just have to listen, I don't have to repeat, I don't have to breath in any particular pattern...so I thought I would share it with you my fabulously awesome listeners!

If nothing else you'll want to grab his new book, The New Science of Super Awareness, it's FREE, one of my favorite things.  So whether you're into meditation or not, this book is very awesome.  I find studies of the brain intriguing and you can learn a way to improve the function of all the things that make us us...I'm checking it out.  But that's me.

If you think meditation is baloney or have never had success with it, I understand, and I am journaling this time around to see where this journey might lead me :-)

<description>I know that a lot of people have experienced a holding pattern at some point in their life...
And being in another one in my life is challenging.  I've had many and know this will pass, but it still makes me feel like a hamster on a wheel!  I don't feel I can move forward with making commitments on any of the things I'm planning to do.

When things are out of my control I feel like I am hovering around my life.  I have to wait to the 25th to see my doctor for my follow up appointment, which is okay.  However, then when we discuss my continued treatment, side affects can include a ton of things that make take me out of the loop of the tia chi class I want take or starting in a volunteer position...

Hmph, like I said I am in a holding pattern.  And so this show is about me sharing my stresses on this with you, cause it helps me hear myself and help myself.  So thank you for always being my sounding board!

It's a lot about removing the external stresses around you that you can control that seems to give some sense of being in control. So I've done that today in a few different ways.  I have to share with my friend tonight that as much as I want to be part of her big fund raiser, time will only tell if I'm able to give that kind of energy...

But it will all work out, because it's life, it's a hiccup and it will pass.  And I hope it will for you as well, because I do know a few of you listening are on that hamster wheel with me and feel the pressure and challenges of being in a holding pattern.

<description>Are you learning about new tools and way to improve your business profitability, attract new clients?
Because here's what I know, not only do you have to keep up on the trends around your business, but you also have to research what you learn.

Today I just spent 3 hours on 2 webinars - both very relevant to my show.  I knew just by the sponsors that the end cost, even though a deal today while I'm on there live, would be more than I am in a position to invest.

However, I did not make that decision, until I researched the first one on building traffic.  I did not see bad reports on the reviews, but I did see some perspective on the service in general.  And that was enough to calm me down, because yes this expert, I know and have purchased a few of his tools in the past or subscribed to a course; so he's good at pulling you in.

So my show today is just to remind you that although something sounds like a great solution, research it some more, maybe do a &quot;Ben Franklin Close&quot; on yourself.  You know two lists, side by side, pros and cons of buying that particular tool or service :-)  It's one of my best barometer's!

And the second webinar was an all encompassing podcast/website service that would have cost me about $700 more a year then what I spend now.  But the biggest downfall for me, even though this puts me in a membership group with about 800 other podcasters, I would have a steep learning curve and time needed to transition my site over.  Not to mention, what if I no longer wanted to have that service, I'd be up the creek without a podcast show!!!

Again, know what you need before you buy the new sparkly toy.  Take it from someone that has bought way too many, way too often!

<description>I love those words, 'what a difference a day makes'!
I mean being sleep deprived for several days really 'wakes' you up when you finally get some sleep...thus the title, what a difference a day makes!

A little bit more sobering thought is how quickly moments make a difference.  Listening to a podcast show interview today I heard how quickly a simple annual procedure altered her life.  I think we all know someone with a story like that, if not one of our own experiences...

But on my show today I talk mostly about my past sleep issues and how exhilarating it is when you actually get a good night's rest!  Years and years ago, my former spouse and I had a good friend that was way older than us, but he loved motorcycles even more than Bill did.

So Paul would join us on our travels to the different motorcycle races or shows we did across the country. Paul was a great travel companion, sweet and fun, but he literally only slept 4 hours a night, no matter what was going on that was it.  He had been a milk man delivering milk door to door for years...some of you may not know this, but yes it's true, house to house they would leave milk in a icebox type of box on your porch or step...wow, does that roll back the memories, yikes!

I was in my 20's and even then could not adjust to less than 8 hours sleep, but he'd meet us for breakfast and a way we go...

And with that said I hope you go listen to my show today, because its about so much more than lack of sleep.  It's about knowing when to adjust for the days you're not 100% and forgiving yourself when something costs you the energy you need.

I hope you know how very grateful I am that you listen...beyond words for me, thank you.

I hope you know how very grateful I am that you listen...beyond words for me, thank you.

<description>Okay, I have to laugh, it's disturbing...and yet it is what it is!
Yes, I am talking about our obsession with our mobile devices and as disturbing as it is for me to always see people on their devices rather than talking to each other...I am guilty of being one of 'them' at the movie theater the other night...you have to listen to hear the whole story!

Disturbing because it is causing us to dis-associate with each other rather than truly engaging.  You see it in the restaurants, people looking at their phones rather than each other.  I informed my husband had we been in this environment when we were first dating, probably would not be married today.  I mean he's always looking at his phone!

Finally, I have him understanding that nothing infuriates me more than having him pull his phone out to check scores or to research something.  Now, he let's me know if we are discussing something and he pulls out his phone that is in direct response to that conversation...

Yes, we're into our 17th year of marriage so not so much gazing in each other's moonstruck eyes any more, but just being present really goes a long way in keeping the home fires warm and the coals still embers at least!  You know what I mean!

Okay, so if you listen to this show you'll know that I transition a bit and talk about the effect social media is having on connecting people, everything we do is mobile right including our social media connecting.  Well, my awesome friend Debbie Saviano who you'll hear from on the 15th has created a brilliant strategy on how to personally meet your social media friends.  Watch this recent Hot Tips For Biz Show and you will be soooo excited about the possibilities it might create for you, too!!!! AWESOME.

Speaking of AWESOME, thanks for being an AWESOME listener, without you and your listening none of my stuff would mean squat!

<description>Don't you just love the waiting game?   What not so much!  Me neither.
Yet is does appear in our very fast paced world that we are destined to wait.  We wait for the phone call that will determine how we schedule our day, we wait for the service guy to show up between 7 am and midnight, we wait for traffic, we wait the the DMV line, we wait, and we wait and we...

Yep, spend a lot of wasted time waiting for so much.  And some it can take us beyond the stress point.  If you're waiting to hear that your loved one is safe in their travels, if you're waiting for the results from a test, physical, job, any test results the waiting can destroy your sanity!

So today, as I wait for a phone call so I can add an event to my schedule I thought I would distract myself with this podcast show :-)  Earlier I was at a membership committee meeting, but knew my the call I was expecting might come later...silly me, it came when I was unable to answer it.  No, I know why didn't I give my cell phone number instead of home...well, cause I was in a meeting and would not have answered.

And then I headed over to comfort my youngest child as she packs and plans to head out to see her Dad for the very last time...again, my phone call waiting took a back seat of concern.  And now she heads into a major waiting game, waiting around airports in order to reach her Dad in time.

So although I say I have no answers, I do want to share with you that if you know you have to wait, ever, plan on it and take something (other than your phone) to distract you.  A little magazine,
&quot;Today's Innovative Woman&quot; or Guideposts, something that doesn't gobble up a lot of space...

I still haven't gotten my phone call, but I had so much fun doing the podcast!  Catch you on the flip flop:-)

<description>So when is your optimum energy flow?  When are you most productive, am, pm?
If you're an entrepreneur this is something you definitely want to hone in on...when do you sell more, when do you present best, when do you feel the most energy?  These are clues on how you might want prioritize your schedule and tasks at hand.

Obviously if you are a crack of dawn morning person and find yourself most productive and full of energy before the sun comes up, then that's when you should blog, social media, create your videos, do your podcasts, etc.  But if that is not you and you are forced to do activities in the AM, then you might want to develop a strategy that will allow you to put off your productive time until your energy is in alignment.

There are those occasions where we can pull up the energy and make the most of it for a special event, like opening a morning meeting from stage...even though it is not your time, you can make it work for that moment.  Every day, probably not gonna happen...if you want to be at your best.

And what about those of us that prefer a bit later in the day?  Do you have the luxury that allows you to work according to your own biological clock and when you know your energy is best?  Because that is the optimum way to focus on being your most productive.  But you sometimes have to take the time to figure this out if you're not automatically aware of what works best for you...

If you've always been employed and have to report in...well, then it's someone else's time table..and I've learned at different times in my life, and different positions that I can function very well at different times of the day where I would have preferred a different option :-) What are your experiences?  You a morning person or a nightowl??

<description>Technically, it's 'Undo', but I like the word Unsend better 'cause that's what I'm thinking!
How many times have you been in an over emotionally state and plan on sending an email, with all those emotions hanging out???  Too many, I bet!

You hear from someone via an email that doesn't sit just right or you don't hear from someone and are exasperated and demanding a response...whew, I'm doing a self analysis here, but you know what I'm saying has happened to you, if you're human, have emotions and send emails!  Just saying.

So when I heard and saw that G-mail now has an undo setting for when you want to retrieve that angry or not so pleasant email you can click 'undo' and it is unsent!  YEAH!  Talk about saving relationships, sanity, jobs, oh my the list could go on and on with this one!

I've had a few emotional weeks for many different reasons and have to pause many times over the internet missiles I was planning on sending.   Thankfully, I have learned to literally allow them to sit and simmer before I send them.  When I do that I always find myself re-wording, re-phrasing and often dropping stuff that I realize are not relaying what really is vital to my response.

It's also a good idea not to put the recipient in the email until you are sure you are ready to send.  I have gotten into the habit of creating the email, putting a subject in and then saving it as a draft.  I find re-visiting an explosive email situation or emotional I meant to say really calms me down and allows my response to be more creative and I don't have to go on a rescue mission of finding out if I mis-read and then mis-answered something...

I think you get the drift and will activate your 'undo' setting if you have a G-mail account - and really, remember, our perception may be totally off base in what we are interpreting someone's meaning...I think it has a lot to do about how we are feeling, too?  Any comment?  Would love to hear from you.

You can help me a great deal by listening and commenting in response to the questions I am posing!

<description>Yep, I ask you, can I count on you?  If you promise to do something will you be there?
I've just been sadly disappointed about a friend of a friend who had promised to be a co-host, but conveniently remained out of touch until I had it all done.  I had asked if she wanted to really participate after 2 weeks of trying to connect, or just preferred to financially contribute...

Oh no, I want to participate.  Really?  All she really did in the one whole conversation we had, was to nix everything that she did not want to do...moving on.

So it brings up a very good question, are you someone that can be counted on?  If I said that to you simply put, 'can I count on you'?  What would your true answer be?  Do you commit to things and yet never bother to show up?  It never ceases to amaze me how lax people are on keeping their promises.

I know when an event is free people have no qualms about not being there - after all they have no investment in the game, never taking in the fact that someone was counting on them to be there.  If I put my name on an RSVP list and I cannot make it, free, paid for or anything else, I would notify whoever I have to notify that I cannot make it after all.

I am proud that people have said, they can set their watch by me, they know they can count on me.  It's a reputation I love having.  It's fortunate for my guest of honor that I am this person, otherwise she would not be having an event to be honored at!  She would have gotten an oops, I'm sorry I've been busy I apologize, that's what I've been hearing anyways!

So I ask you - please for your reputation and for all the people you make promises to...be someone you can count on!  It shows you care :-)
