My goal for this show is to bring together podcasters and podcast service providers like audio editors, podcast VA’s, podcast managers and help build a community to advance podcasting. I believe a successful podcast is not a one man show, it is never a one man show. But it’s a partnership between the podcaster and his/her sidekicks.  And there’s no better way to say it than how Mary Jane Watson said it in the movie Spider Man.

“Everybody needs help sometimes, Peter, even Spider-Man.” And yes, even podcasters need help.

There are many who started podcasting who just heard about the good things of having a podcast. How they can use a podcast to reach out to an even broader and international audience. It can help their business grow. All those things are true. But it’s only half of the reality that podcasters have to face. The truth is, not many of these new podcasters did have a good overview of what the real life challenges are like to build a successful, consistent, thriving podcast. They probably didn’t know they had to invite guests and schedule the interviews ahead of time so they can release regularly. That they actually have to edit the audio, write a title, episode description, create a blog post, upload audio to the hosting service and the whole enchilada of podcasting post production.

Hear this, In a blog post by Rachel Corbett about podfade, she said and I quote “ According to a 2018 interview in Amplifi Media with the CEO of Blubrry, Todd Cochrane.  Of the 540,000 podcasts out at the time, only 25% had released a new episode over the previous year.

That means approximately 75% of all podcasts in 2018 were NOT in production.  And every day that passes there are more and more podcasts.

Of course, within that number are shows that were only supposed to last for one season like the hugely popular S-Town.  But a huge proportion are people who got about seven episodes in and went “URGH! This is too hard!”

Now if you jump into podcasting only knowing half the truth, you’re halfway through failure. 

But every problem has a solution. And that solution are people just like how Batman needs a Robin. Yes, it’s the sidekicks. It’s not in any way demeaning Robin’s role or a sidekicks role but it emphasizes that even heroes need help. And this podcast will showcase the heroes and the sidekicks so you get the true taste of real life situations when podcasting.
