Ed Casey unfolds our understanding of the verse in Hebrews 3:1 that says we can be "partakers of the Heavenly calling".

Who are these "partakers" or partners with heaven?

How can you become a partaker and share with Christ and the Holy Spirit of all that they have for you?

Today's podcast presents a new twist because it is a message from his Ed Casey's wife, Penny Casey.
Penny shares the insight she received from Romans chapter 8 during a particularly inspiring private Bible study and prayer time. After she briefly outlines the first half of Romans 8, it is the second half that particularly reaches her, beginning with:
Rom 8:29 For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Powerful promises are made to those who are "born again" believers.
1. Since we are saved, we can be confident that we are among those "whom He did foreknow".
2. God has predetermined that we will be conformed to the image of His Son
3. This is a process, a matter of growth in this life fulfilled completely in Eternity, but the Romans 8 promises can give us confidence that our lives have a greater, higher purpose than we often see day by day.
4. God chose us, He plans a destiny for us, He protects and defends us, and He loves us.

Have I "trampled underfoot" the Son of God? What a startling question!
Ed Casey provides assistance for you to answer this question for your own life.
Quoting several passages from the Word of God, he makes the Scriptural guidance plain - not his personal interpretations or popular opinions or denominational stances.
Firm in his belief that the Holy Spirit leads us into all Truth (John 16:13), he trusts that God Himself will show you the way to walk in Holiness.

Members of our Christian family are asking this same question all over the world, and for some, the answer is all too real.
In this podcast, Ed Casey explores this question and helps us to determine what our answer will be should we be faced with violence against our faith.

Am I ashamed of the gospel?
What does it mean to deny myself and to take up my cross and follow Jesus?
How do I lose my life to find it?
Is there a cause worth dying for?

Are you saved? Do you know? Ed Casey explains that you can be 100% certain, according to the Word of God.

Jesus' own words describe as the way to become born again or "saved"?
The opportunity to be born again is yours - to receive by faith.
Attending a house of worship, no matter how regularly, is not the method Jesus requires.
Repentance of your sins, by speaking with your mouth, and believing in your heart are both necessary.
Daily repentance and drawing close to Jesus by faith will lead to holy living which is evidence of the Kingdom of God within us.

Yes, Jesus broke the established traditions and Jewish laws that were added by the counsel of religious leaders after God gave His Law to Moses. He healed on the Sabbath, which was considered by the religious leaders to be doing work. But He also broke the tradition of the times by speaking to a Samaritan woman. Ed Casey gives his explanation of Jesus' possible reasons why.

He may have had empathy for the Samaritan woman because of His own rejection by mankind and by people in His own hometown.
He may have been setting an example that shows that God cares for people of all nationalities, races, and backgrounds.
He may have been demonstrating that anyone, anywhere is invited to come to Him.

How should a Christian deal with the issue of suffering for Christ? We know that Jesus told us that persecution would come to those who follow Him, and that those who are persecuted for His sake are blessed.

In this Scripture rich teaching, Ed Casey explains that it is a privilege to suffer as a Christian.

A major goal of Jesus' mission was to suffer.
He is able to share His Glory with us as a result of His death and Resurrection.
His strength in us is "made perfect in weakness".

Be careful to "try the spirits whether they are of God."
Ask yourself what you are truly seeking in this life.
Are you experiencing "righteousness, peace, and joy?"

"Am I Spirit Filled?" Ed Casey explains 4 ways that you can know. After you have allowed Jesus to baptize you with the Holy Spirit:

Are you seeking the Kingdom of God?
Are you fully aware that the Kingdom is in the midst of you?
Have His desires become your daily desires and hungers?
Are you seeking, praying, and fasting to hear God's "still, small voice" for direction throughout the day?
