In this episode, Frederick Russ, founder of VI Control Forum, www.vi-control.net , one of the largest virtual instrument and sample library community forums on the internet, goes over his experiences in running the forum, coaching composers, and thoughts about how to break free from playing in the minor leagues into the playing field of the majors in composing work.

Frederick's experience includes composing music for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Madden 13, Winter Olympics, movie trailers for "Brave" and "Lincoln". He wrote a column for Virtual Instruments Magazine, "MIDI Mockup Microscope" and has taught dozens of composers how to improve their productions with MIDI Mockup Techniques.  Frederick currently writes and produces music for media while running a very busy forum of international composers.
