Hello parents,
This is Dayna.

if you feel that your child is not really developing or behaving age appropriate, most of us would start comparing with their peers on their language development or their temper tantrums. Some might just wait and hoping their child is just a late bloomer and hold the believe that boys just start talking later than girls.
-Time
Always remember, you cannot turn the clock back and time is always the most precious element to a kid’s learning journey.
-Specialist
Book an appointment with a specialist to get an assessment done. Right now, there’s only 3 kinds of specialists who’s able to diagnose and label a child.
They are psychiatrist, developmental pediatrician and psychologist.
Not just any pediatrician but a developmental pediatrician.
Both clinical and educational psychologist can usually do that. However, an educational psychologist is usually preferred.
Post diagnosis-
Many parents might start shopping around for different opinions to double confirm the diagnosis. Shelve away denial and get to action. Spending money to reconfirm a diagnosis is not going to help the child to improve unless the next specialist can offer a rich list of information on different forms of intervention.
After the diagnosis then we get to the next step on what form of interventions should we decide.
I will cover in my other video.

Remember, happy parents can raise a happy child. Stay positive! Get a diagnose if you have doubt.

This is Dayna!
