<description>The format of this post is more conversational in nature, I want it to feel as though we are having an intimate conversation. I've personally gone through a lot of adverse situations and I'm still going through some very challenging ones right now with some health and other issues but right now I want to share with you some tips that have really helped me and use them to encourage you in whatever you are facing in your life right now.

Adversity

Let’s tell the truth, in our lives we face so many different kinds of adversity especially as diaspora immigrants regardless of generation (1st, 2nd, 3rd) or in Nigeria where we see so many things, probably too many for a young person. However, right from elementary school for instance if you're the new, unique/different or scrappy little kid in the yard lots of people will try to mess with you and that is your first lesson in adversity. Then you go to secondary/middle-high school after being a big shot in 6th grade/Primary 6 and you become the junior kid and you have to start all over proving yourself again. It's a tough life out there you have to prove yourself to your mates then you prove yourself to the seniors who often-times just want to see how far they can push you before you break. I thank God from my experiences in boarding school in Nigeria because you actually discover a lot of what you’re made of during those early years.

Adversity The 4 Phases -
1. Denial,
2. Acceptance,
3. Embracing Adversity,
4. Overcoming Adversity &amp; Getting Busy Living.

Obedience is something that is ingrained in us from a very young age and disclaimer!! while this podcast is not proposing you start disobeying all the rules of your parents, ignore ethics (that's a big one!) or laws meant to protect society, there exists another invisible layer of rules we unconsciously subject ourselves to day-in &amp; day-out.

4 Types of disobedience...
Disobeying Yourself
Disobeying the Gurus
Disobeying your Friends &amp; Family
Disobeying Society &amp; what it says you should do.
Lets break each one down....

We've all been told too many times and we know talk is cheap! I say it all the time and so do you but do we really believe it? I'll be very honest, I didn't myself until something happened recentl, and I’ll share why to help you realize how you can too!
Here's how I came to where I am right now, even with hosting this podcast...
